The Click Five supported McFly on their tour around four years ago and could have easily been pigeon-holed as ‘just another boyband’ and, at the time, they were. They had fluffy choruses, they were cutesy and while they put on a fantastic show, they didn’t seem to make an impact on British audiences.
That is hopefully about to change. TCV is a much more mature album and The Click Five seem to have found their comfort zone. With sounds reminiscent of The Beatles and The Beach Boys, it’s hard to dislike such an inoffensive, charming band.
TCV is jam-packed with energy, enthusiasm and emotion. It’s been described as a ‘power-pop’ album and I have to agree. It is definitely a pop album but one with a glorious retro touch.
An enjoyable album that can be enjoyed by music fans across the board.
